WCC Semis Make Up Monday Slate

Happy Monday, Bucketheads. The regular season is over and conference tournament action is in full swing this week. In the past this has caused headaches for your boys @CBB_DFS due to late slate announcements and delayed pricing. We will do our best to jam out the best content we can, but our focus will be primarily on the night slates.

As for tonight – the WCC semifinals take center stage. DK has given us a 2-game tourney that will award $2,000 to first place. We have some plays all laid out for you below, so put those puzzle pieces together and let’s have a big one!

GUARDS WE LIKE

Jamaree Bouyea, SFO (G, 8300) – He is the most consistent of the Don guards and had 28.3 and 40.5 in two meetings against the Zags. Great ancillary production keeps his floor high. Shabazz (G, 6300) will look to shoot a lot more and is more of a GPP option.

Andrew Nembhard, GONZ (G, 7400) – The Zags will play a tight rotation so Nembhard should play all the minutes he can handle in this one. He’s a lock for 30 DK, but has only gone 5x (37 DK) this price point 3 times in conference play.

Jalen Williams, STC (G, 6600) – Williams had 47 DK in the last outing against St. Mary’s, and has scored 40+ DK in 3 straight games. He’s had at least 6 assists in his last 4 games and is an excellent rebounder for a guard too. By the numbers the Gaels are tough to crack from the perimeter, but Williams’ form and past performance may be too much to ignore here.

PJ Pipes, STC (G, 5400) – Another Bronco guard that could see high ownership due to a favorable price. 30+ DK is nearing 6x territory and he has been over that number in 5 straight games. He is a bit shot dependent, but hard to ignore the run he has been on.

Alec Ducas, STMRY (G/F, 4600) – Opting to list Ducas as both Kushe (6700) and Johnson (6400) can canibalize the others production. Plus Alec has position flexibility and is 2k less. The Gaels aren’t playing a deep bench right now, so Alec is a good way to get minutes into your lineup. He had 30 DK in one outing vs. the Broncos and 11 DK in the other.

Julian Rishwain, SFO (G, 4100) – Has played at least 24 minutes in the last 4 and has gone near 6x in three of those contests including 23.3 against the Zags on 2/24. Has been in good shooting form of late connecting on 56% of his threes (9/16) in that span.

Nolan Hickman, GONZ (G, 3000) – The talented freshman is at the DK minimum, so there is obvious risk. Hasn’t hit double digit DK points in his last 5, and minutes have been slimming lately. That said in a two game slate outliers may be needed.

FORWARDS WE LIKE

Chet Holmgren, GONZ (F, 9300) He had 61 DK points the last time these two teams met. Massalski won’t chase him around the perimeter so he becomes a massive match-up problem for the Dons. With some value to be found on the slate, expect massive ownership for Chet tonight.

Drew Timme, GONZ (F, 8100) – Scored 20 or more points in both match-ups going for 43 and 35 DK points. His 29% usage and 27% shot rate are things you want to target in a game total that is at 154.5 combined points. Chet will cut into rebounding upside, but no reason not to take the focal point of the Zags O.

Josip Vrankic, STC (F, 7100) – When the Broncos are playing well they are playing through their 6’9″ power forward. The Gaels have held Vrankic in check thus far this year, but the senior has 38 and 44 DK in his last two and is playing well. He’s a good passer and solid rebounder so floor is high making him well suited for cash builds.

Yauhen Massalski, SFO (F, 6800) – Massalski has been in a bit of a funk and also comes into this one with a “Q” tag. We’ll monitor his status, but if he goes he could be a contrarian option for your GPP builds. Sub 20 DK in 3 of 4, but in the one good game he had 30.5 against these Zags on 2/24. Prior the 4 game stretch he had 9-straight double doubles.

Kyle Bowen, STMRY (F, 4800) – He plays max minutes and gives effort. Like Ducas (written up in the guard section) he’s a price saver from Tass (6500). The Gaels are extremely balanced on offense so the higher priced guys bring more risk.

Patrick Tape, SFO (F, 4100) – A must play if Massalski sits, and an okay play if he goes. Tape has gone 5x and 6x in his last two playing 25 minutes in each. Josh Kunen (F, 3400) and Volodymyr Markovetskyy (F, 3300) will also be worth a look if the Dons regular center can’t go.

Josip Vrankic

OVER 22.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Josip is a veteran big man can rebound, score, and pass effectively out of double teams. He had 16-8-2 (26 PRA) in the last meeting, and averaged 36 PRA in his last two. In this big game I think he goes OVER 22.5 points, rebounds, and assists.

– Joe (46-35-6)

Cam Holden

OVER 23.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Holden averaged over 27 PRA vs. Delaware in two games this season and has gone over this total in 5 straight. He’s a great rebounder for his size and has increased shot share in conference play for a team with an implied total in the mid-70s. Give me the OVER 23.5 points, rebounds, and assists tonight for Cam.

– Byrd (49-37-1)

BUCKETHEAD BONUS (46-36-2)

Douglas Wilson

OVER 23.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Wilson is rocking a 32% usage and 30% shot share in Summit League games this season. He can hit this number in points alone on some nights, including against South Dakota a month ago when he had 25. Should get to the line plenty and hopefully rebounds and assists are just gravy.
